End of Life

This is a big winner strategy that is implemented when most of the tickets have been sold, more than about 98%, yet there are several big winners unclaimed. Sure it’s possible that some of the big winners were sold or lost, so you wouldn’t want to try game 1805 in the table below, but the other games have several big winners left, with less than 5,000 tickets in circulation. With game 1793 there are less than 2,400 tickets remaining, the odd of getting a $10k winner is 1:9,600 and 1:2,000 for $500. The biggest problem with this strategy is finding the tickets, especially if you live in a big state, you obviously don’t want to drive hundreds of miles for this. The best way to find these tickets is in stores with low ticket velocity and a large selection of tickets, so knowing where these are is helpful. Keep in mind, even if you don’t find one, you still get the smaller winners with the posted odds. Another tip for this strategy is focusing on games that are out of season. I recently got a winner with this strategy with a game called $10 Winter Winnings, there were about 2,500 tickets remaining with 1 $20k winner and 4 $1k winners, I bought this winter themed ticket in August when no one is thinking winter! Since buying my winner, two more $1k winners have been claimed, but unfortunately I couldn’t find any more tickets in my area.
